How to cultivate faith in times of anxiety
Simple Christian practices for prayer, support, and responsible care through anxiety.
Anxiety can appear as constant worry, tension, trouble sleeping, or a sense of threat. Faith should never be used to blame someone who suffers. Prayer can offer presence and hope, but it does not replace psychological or medical care when symptoms are intense or persistent.
A five-minute practice
Name what is happening without exaggerating or denying it: “I am worried about...” Breathe slowly for a few cycles and read a short Bible passage. Instead of solving the whole month, ask what safe next step fits today.
Share the burden with someone trustworthy. If there is a risk of harming yourself or someone else, seek immediate help from emergency and support services in your region.
