How to start reading the Bible every day

A simple way to begin a steady Bible-reading habit without turning the experience into pressure.

Starting to read the Bible does not require knowing everything first. It requires a realistic time, a translation you understand, and a willingness to pay attention. Fifteen consistent minutes can be more sustainable than a huge goal abandoned later.

A path for the first days

Choose an entire book rather than opening random pages. Mark is short and active; John invites contemplation; Philippians speaks about joy, anxiety, and maturity. Before reading, pray briefly. During the reading, notice who speaks, what happens, and what invitation the text presents.

Write one sentence you understood and one question that remains. Let questions become part of the journey instead of treating them as failure.
