Prayer for a sick loved one
Intercede with hope for someone facing illness, asking for presence, comfort, and strength each day.
Lord, I bring before You the person I love who is now living with illness.
I do not ask that everything vanish as if by magic, but that Your true presence reach where I cannot go. Walk beside the doctors, the nurses, and everyone who provides care with dedication. Grant them wisdom, steady hands, and patience for every step of treatment.
Bless the heart that suffers: receive the tiredness, the fear, the long nights, and the mornings when the body feels heavier than any word. When hope seems fragile, remind us that love does not fade in the face of illness.
Teach us to accompany without rushing, to listen without imposing solutions, and to pray without demanding outcomes. Guard our patience and do not let despair steal tenderness.
May rest come more gently. May there be relief in symptoms and calm in decisions. And may every act of care received also be a gesture of love fully recognized.
