A prayer before a meeting
Ask for collaboration and clarity for a thoughtful conversation.
Lord, I come asking You to bring light into my heart.
Open my eyes to hear with truth, to recognize the words that bring value and the ones that carry distraction. Give me wisdom to choose prudently what to say and what to listen to.
May this gathering be rooted in respect, not in performance. May my voice be gentle, and may my silences be attentive. Give me restraint so I do not rush and patience so I do not judge.
Grant clarity to separate what is essential from what is passing, to understand another's need, and to offer a contribution that serves everyone. May the outcome be aligned with You and Your will.
May collaboration be born from the recognition that everyone seeks what is good, and may this meeting be a sign of Your love that unites. Amen.
