Prayer for Reconciliation
A prayer to seek honest dialogue, mend what has been broken, and welcome the grace of beginning again together.
Lord, where distance has grown between people who once loved one another, You are the one who opens the way back. Look with kindness on this wound I carry and give me the courage to take the first step toward the other.
Teach me to listen before I speak, to understand before I judge. Let pride not take the place of love, nor resentment erase what was good between us. Free me from the need to be right and place in my heart the humility to seek peace.
Open my lips to offer forgiveness without reservation, and open my ears to welcome what the other needs to express. If reconciliation comes slowly, give me patience. If it asks me to change, give me willingness.
May Your Spirit sustain every honest word, every gesture of repair, and every choice that reopens the path of living together. Do not promise me it will be easy, but let me trust that I do not walk alone.
Grant us, Lord, that the grace of meeting may outweigh the pain of separation, and that together we may rebuild what conflict has torn apart. Amen.
