A Prayer for Learning to Wait
A short prayer to face delay and uncertainty, placing in God's hands what you cannot control.
Lord, I have reached the point where what I wanted should have already happened.
The hours go by and the answer I am waiting for has not come. The path feels stuck, and uncertainty fills the space that trust used to hold.
Teach me to wait without losing my peace. When I am tempted to force what is not yet time, remind me that not everything needs an answer today. What lies beyond my reach, I place in Your hands.
Give me patience for this one day and courage to do, with care, the small part that is mine. Keep my mind from hurry and from the fear of being left behind.
Stay with me in the waiting. May I live this in-between time with light, not with despair. Amen.
