Prayer for Father's Day
A prayer to honor the one who taught us to walk with simplicity and gratitude.
Lord,
Today we give thanks for the name we carry, yet few have examined with such quiet. We remember the steps taken beside us, the hands that steadied us without hurry, and the voice that called us without shouting.
We do not ask for grand words, only courage to follow the simple path we were taught: to walk without pretense, to care without expecting reward, and to recognize the worth of quiet labor.
Bless the one who showed us, through humble example, that being a father is a choice renewed each day. May we, in our turn, offer the same welcome to those still growing.
And when the memory of that gesture presses on our hearts, may we remember that the greatest gift we received was the certainty of being loved without condition.
