Prayer to Open a Worship Service
A welcoming prayer to gather the congregation in God's presence.
Heavenly Father, in this moment we bring our hearts together before You. Thank You that even before we arrived, You were already waiting for us. Each person here carries a story, a burden, a joy — and You know them all.
Lord, remove our distraction and hurry. May the tiredness we carry not prevent us from hearing what You want to say. Open our eyes to notice Your presence and prepare our hearts to receive Your Word with humility and gladness.
Strengthen those who came weary. Welcome those who arrived with doubts. Comfort those who carry a pain they cannot explain. No one is here by accident: You brought them because You have something ready for each one.
Guide the worship we are about to begin. May the words spoken, the songs sung, and the time of prayer serve only Your name. May we leave here changed — more united, more faithful, and more passionate about Your love.
In the name of Jesus, our Shepherd and Savior, we pray. Amen.
