Prayer of Psalm 37: Waiting in Confidence

A prayer inspired by Psalm 37 to wait in confidence in God and act with righteousness, leaving the future in His hands.

Lord, empty my heart and teach me to trust in You.

Today I bring before You the struggle between patience and haste, between righteousness and frustration. Psalm 37 reminds me not to cling to what is not mine, nor to try to force Your timing. When what I desire has not yet come, I must not conclude that You have forgotten me, but that Your grace already prepares a path I cannot yet see.

Teach me to act with righteousness even when the outcome is uncertain. Give me discernment to recognize what lies within my control and serenity to entrust the rest to Your hands. May I be patient with the process, steadfast in the conviction that You hear and answer in due time.

I place my spirit in Your hands, where time holds no dominion and Your truth prevails over crooked ways. May I walk in peace, even without seeing the end, knowing that Your grace precedes me and Your promise sustains me.

Amen.
