Prayer to Saint Cecilia

Saint Cecilia, who sing the Lord's name with your heart and let a strong song rise from silence, pray for me today.
When singing feels fragile and the voice wavers, remind me that it is not perfect notes that please the Lord, but the offering He hears. Teach me to give, wherever my voice can reach, what is mine: the joy that is born and the sorrow that weighs, signs that I am alive to feel and to sing.
Lord, kindle in me the fire of sincere joy. May every attempt to lift my voice also be a step of trust, even when the fear of judgment does not leave. We do not seek perfection, but courage to proclaim, among those who surround me, that love is the finest melody.
Saint Cecilia, who were inspired to sing to Christ, draw us near to the Most High through the gift of music. May what I raise in voice or in silence reach Your presence as a pure offering. Amen.
