Prayer for Work
Ask for ethics, cooperation, and wisdom throughout your workday.
Lord, as I begin another workday, I place before You these hands that will write, build, and decide.
Do not let my efforts be driven by hurry, pride, or a self-interest that passes. Teach me to work with integrity: to speak what needs saying, to own what has gone wrong, and to tend to what has been entrusted to me.
Give me a heart ready to work alongside others. Help me see in my colleague not an obstacle, but someone with whom I can walk the road together. May my words open space rather than close it.
And when the answer does not come right away, grant me wisdom to ask, to listen, and—when it is needed—to wait.
May my work not be in vain, but a way of serving with humility, looking out for the good of those beside me. Amen.
