Prayer to Forgive
A short prayer to notice the hurt, breathe with calm, and choose forgiveness in your own time.
God of peace, I come to You with a heart tired of carrying resentment.
I do not need to pretend everything is fine.
Help me notice what still hurts without clinging to the one who hurt me. Give me calm to breathe, silence to reflect, and clarity not to confuse forgiveness with forgetfulness.
I am not asking for a perfect feeling. I am asking for the freedom not to let resentment decide my days. Teach me to forgive in the time that is needed, without losing my peace.
May I loosen what still holds me and make room for what remains good. If it is possible, restore lightness. And if it is not yet, keep me while I learn.
