A Prayer for Childbirth
A prayer asking for serenity and care during birth, placing the moment in God's presence.
Lord, the time of birth has come. Hold my heart, which beats between joy and fear, and give me the serenity of one who knows she is not alone.
Bless the hands that care for me: the doctors, the midwives, the nurses. May every gesture be made with attention, calm, and respect for the life that is arriving.
When pain or uncertainty grows, remind me to breathe and to trust the body's own timing. Sustain my strength and keep peace for those who stand with me.
Receive this birth as a gift. May I find in You the serenity to live this moment and the care to welcome the life coming into the world. Amen.
