Prayer for rest and peace in insomnia
A prayer for rest and quiet on sleepless nights, entrusting sleep to God without false promises.
Lord, when the night drags on and the body cannot find rest, I come to You with the weariness that will not be still. I do not ask for an instant miracle, but for the peace that settles even when the eyes will not close.
Calm the thoughts that race without restraint and the fears that make the bed feel too small. Let me place my sleep in Your hands, remembering that You watch over me even in the moments when nothing is quickly resolved.
Jesus, may Your silence be stronger than my restlessness. When the body grows weak, may my faith rest in You, step by step, breath by breath. And if it is needed, give me the courage to seek the professional care that also comes from You.
Father, this night is not measured by what I manage to do, but by what I receive in trust. May I rest in Your presence, even if sleep comes slowly. Amen.
