Prayer for a Sick Child

Lord, draw near in Your shadow to this child who fills my heart with longing.
Do not measure us by our weakness, but let Your light and love rest over her. Bring relief to her pain, peace to her distress, and hope to her heart that burns with fear. May the doctor's hand, placed in gentle care, be guided by Your wisdom.
Act like a father who refuses to leave a daughter alone. Strengthen whoever tends to her, calm the dread that surrounds her, and light the paths ahead. Show us, Lord, that those who love truly never walk in darkness — even when the night is long.
