Prayer for Our Lady Aparecida's Feast Day
Welcome Our Lady Aparecida on October 12 with a prayer of gratitude and trust.
Mother Aparecida, on this October 12 my heart turns to you with simple joy. Your face discovered in the river waters is a sign that God never stops seeking us, even when we drift apart like the fishermen on that night.
I thank you for the steady presence that has crossed time and still unites our people. In the crowd of voices, you teach us to listen. In the rush of the day, you teach us to pray. In uncertainty, you point us toward your Son.
On this feast day, strengthen the bond among all who walk under your care. May hands reach out in kindness, may homes receive peace, and may each person discover that they are not alone. Embrace whoever carries grief, loneliness, or pain, and let your intercession bring comfort to the heart.
I place before you the projects that are only beginning and those that seem stuck. Let your humility teach me to wait without giving up and to act without losing faith.
Our Lady Aparecida, Queen of Brazil and Mother of the faithful, guide us always to your Son Jesus. Amen.
