Prayer for the Day of the Faithful Departed

Lord Jesus, on this Day of the Faithful Departed I lift my heart to You for all who have left this life before me. I hold in memory those who walked beside me, whose kindness left marks that time cannot erase.
Receive them, Lord, and give them the light that the world cannot offer. May they find in You the welcome they sought on earth, and may Your mercy grant them eternal rest.
Comfort also the sorrow of those who remain. When grief weighs heavy, grant us the certainty that love is never lost. Teach us to honor the departed not only with tears, but with a life more faithful to the lessons they left behind.
On this day of remembrance, unite us to all the faithful departed in the hope of the resurrection. May Your peace console every aching heart, and may the memory of our beloved draw us ever closer to You. Amen.
