Prayer for Confirmation
A Catholic prayer for those preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation with openness to the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit, come and dwell within me. I prepare my heart to receive the sacrament of Confirmation and to renew the faith that was planted in me through Baptism.
Fill me with Your gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord. May I not receive this sacrament out of tradition alone, but with a heart open to Your transformation.
Give me courage to live as a witness of Christ in the world. May my words reflect Your truth, may my choices honor Your will, and may my service to others be a sign of Your love.
Strengthen in me the faith I will profess before the community. May the seal of the Holy Spirit guide me ever closer to Jesus, and may I carry joy and hope wherever there is need.
Lord, in this time of preparation, make me a willing instrument in Your hands. Amen.
