An Advent Prayer: Preparing the Heart for Christmas
Prepare your heart for Christmas with a brief, welcoming Advent prayer focused on hope, presence, and openness to what God wants to do.
Lord Jesus, we enter Advent with open hearts. Teach me to pause, to breathe, and to let hope be born anew within me.
In these weeks, I do not simply want to count the days, but to prepare the way for Your coming. Give me patience to wait without anxiety, silence to listen without haste, and humility to admit that I need You.
May the light that shines in Bethlehem first reach the shadowed corners of my heart. Help me recognize what needs forgiveness, healing, a new beginning. Transform my waiting into encounter and my preparation into loving presence.
May I live this Advent with simplicity, as Mary did: with faith, with quiet openness, and with the certainty that God is coming to meet me. Amen.
