A Child's Morning Prayer
A short prayer for children to begin the day grateful for God's care.
Good morning, God! Thank you for the night that passed, for the sleep that rested my body, and for the light now coming through the window. Before I even get out of bed, I want to talk to You with my heart.
Thank you for the air I breathe, for a warm bath, for bread on the table, and for the grown-up who takes care of me today. You aren't too big to see what I need, and You care for me in the best way.
Teach me today to notice who needs help and to offer my hand with kindness. When I make mistakes, don't let me give up on myself right away. Correct me patiently and show me how to find my way back.
Watch over my family, my friends, and all the children starting their day the way I am. Care for the whole world, even the places I will never visit.
I trust in You because You love me. Guide me today and let my steps show how good Your care is. Amen.
