An original prayer to thank God for the gift of life and bless someone you love on their special day.
Lord, thank You for the life I have been given and for each day that arrives as a gift.
In this moment of gratitude, I recognize that every year I have lived carries Your presence: in the joys that smiled upon me, in the hardships that made me stronger, and in the people You placed along my path.
I ask You for the one I love on this day. Bless their life, guard their heart, and guide their steps so they may know Your goodness. Let them feel today, simply and truly, that they are loved.
May this new year ahead be accompanied by peace, health, and courage to live with generosity. And may I also know how to be a blessing to those around me. Amen.
