Prayer Before a Test

Lord, before I face what I need to recall, calm my heart.

I do not need everything to flow perfectly on the first try. I only need Your peace to be with me as I remember what I have learned and meet what I am still discovering.

Breathe within me, Lord. Remind me who I am when I forget, and remind me whose I am when I feel too small.

Bless the words I am about to write or speak. May my mind find its way through the ideas, and may the ideas find their way into truth.

Do not let fear hold me back, but give me courage to try, even when I do not yet feel ready.
