Prayer Before Confession
An interior examination and silence to confess with calm what weighs on the heart.
Lord, come in silence to my heart.
Today my steps, my words, my thoughts — all before You. Show me with gentleness what I have hidden, what I did or failed to do, so that truth may bring me rest, not guilt.
Purify my heart, not so that I feel condemned, but so that I may see clearly where I needed grace today.
Prepare me, Lord, to confess honestly, without pretense or hurry, knowing that You are mercy and that You wait for me with open arms.
