Prayer Before Communion
Prepare your heart to receive Christ with trust and gratitude.
Lord Jesus,
I come before You with an open heart. As I prepare to unite myself to You in communion, I recognize Your living presence here, confirmed by Your Word and by Your Blood.
Father, purify my heart of every ambiguity. Release whatever still weighs upon me. Help me to see in You the food of my soul and to recognize that Your presence is greater than all my expectations.
Holy Spirit, enlighten my mind to enter into the mystery of Your love. Turn my silence into communion and make of my heart an altar where Your love may be revealed.
I want to receive You with joy, not out of duty but as a gift. May each portion of Your Body be light upon my path, and may each drop of Your Blood be strength for my days.
With this faith, Lord, I believe that Your presence is real. Thank You for Your boundless grace, and trust that Your love sustains me in every need.
May my life today reflect the goodness You have shown. Let there be no emptiness here, only a passion to know You and love my neighbor as myself.
