Novena to Our Lady of Aparecida
Nine days of prayer to prepare the heart and draw near to Our Lady of Aparecida with faith and surrender.
This novena is an original prayer written to prepare the heart over nine days before turning to Our Lady of Aparecida.
Each day opens a space of silence and surrender. Pray slowly, present your intention, and let Mary welcome what you carry.
### Day 1 — Faith Our Lady of Aparecida, who was found in the waters of the river, help me believe that God also finds me where I am. May I need no proof to trust; it is enough to know your Son is watching over me. Amen.
### Day 2 — Humility Lady of Aparecida, teach me to come before God as I am, without masks or pretenses. May I recognize my limits and accept that your grace works precisely there, in my weakness. Amen.
### Day 3 — Prayer Mother who prayed the rosary in the fishermen's boat, teach me to pray with simplicity. May each Hail Mary be one step closer to your Son, and may the silence after prayer also be listening. Amen.
### Day 4 — Trust Our Lady, who trusted God when everything seemed small and unlikely, pass that same trust on to me. Let me stop trying to control everything and learn to rest in God's care. Amen.
### Day 5 — Repentance Merciful Mother, I bring you the mistakes that weigh on me and the words I should not have spoken. I come with no excuses; I come with a heart that wants to begin again. Forgive me and lead me back to the path. Amen.
### Day 6 — Perseverance Our Lady of Aparecida, when prayer feels empty and faith feels weak, do not let me give up. Teach me to return every day, even without great emotion, because faithfulness itself is already prayer. Amen.
### Day 7 — Surrender Mother of the Redeemer, I surrender to you my hopes and also my fears. I do not need to know how everything will be resolved. I only need to know you are with me and that God writes with patience. Amen.
### Day 8 — Gratitude Our Lady, open my eyes to see what I have already received. May I not overlook the small graces and the silent care of God. To give thanks is also to prepare to receive more. Amen.
### Day 9 — Consecration Our Lady of Aparecida, Queen of Brazil and Mother of the faithful, on this last day of the novena I give you my life. Receive who I am, what I have, and what I hope for. Care for me as a Mother and always lead me to your Son, Jesus. Amen.
At the end of each day, repeat: "Our Lady of Aparecida, pray for us."
